What is the time limit on the stimuli controlling tacts? Show a child a watch and say What is that? and the response Watch is fairly easily explained. Show him a watch, cover it up for one second, and say What was that?, and we can reasonably apply the same formula. But it is scarcely plausible when the response is delayed by ten seconds, ten minutes, ten hours, or ten days. (p. 142)
