Dear Friends,
The B. F. Skinner Foundation is celebrating its 30th anniversary! Our first board meeting was held on May 28th, 1989 in Milwaukee, WI. We recently had our 30th board meeting at the Foundation’s office in Cambridge, MA.
The Foundation is working on many new and ongoing exciting projects. To just name a few: a virtual museum, opportunities to earn CEUs, and an expanded edition of Verbal Behavior (including a new forward and three Skinner articles).
The President of the B.F. Skinner Foundation, Julie S. Vargas, has a wild rabbit that visits her regularly. Russell has now started to appear every time a person comes to the front door, looking for the crackers that Julie’s approaching has produced. Julie now wants to teach a discrimination: to appear only when called, so Russell stops following any visitor to the door. We will keep you posted on the outcome!
You probably already get Operants. This update is the first of planned short notes to keep you in touch with the Foundation itself and what is going on in Cambridge. If there is something you would like to know, please send an email to info@bfskinner.org.
