[title size=”2″]Problem Solving in The Pigeon[/title]

videoThis video shows a bird solving a problem. Previously the bird had been taught two separate behaviors: 1) to peck a banana that was easily within its reach when no box was in the chamber, and 2) to move a box around when no banana was present. This performance answers the question “Could the pigeon combine those two actions and reach the banana by moving the box to get to it?” No audio here. (1:05) Copyrighted by the B. F.
